Tasha Taylor, the youngest daughter of pioneering R&B artist, Johnnie Taylor.    grew up in Dallas, Texas.  She started traveling with her family on tour as a child, and was surrounded by legends in music. "I just remember being on stage A LOT!"  Johnnie toured with The Jackson 5, Natalie Cole and Sister Sledge, Johnnie Guitar Watson, and over the years, so many other great artists. 

After moving to LA,  Tasha was  hired to sing with Usher, and was hired as a featured artist, to sing on the road with Jim Belushi and Dan Aykroyd in their Blues Brothers Live.  Tasha was signed to Warner Chappell, as a songwriter and to Epic Records for a solo deal in 2000. Her original music has been featured on “Men In Trees,” and "Lipstick Jungle". Soon after she was signed to Epic Records, and later signed to RUFF Records in Germany. Tasha was nominated by the Los Angeles Black Music awards, for Best Female R&B Performer, Best New Song, Best Blues Music Performer, Best Live Performer, and Entertainer Of The Year 2019. She won for Best Female R&B Performer, and Best Music Performer.

Tasha sings, writes, produces, make her own beats, and recently started mixing her own music.  Blues and R&B. She's released 3 albums: Revival, Taylormade, Honey For The Biscuit, and most recently an EP Push & Pull, and Tasha has just released her new album: Soul Kitty. When producing her records, the most important thing for Tasha is putting the right band together for the studio. She  have been fortunate to have relationships with amazing musicians. Tasha hooked up with award-winning bassist Nathan Watts, Don Wyatt and Jerry Brown, Johnny Lee Schell, musicians that have backed up such greats as Stevie Wonder, Chaka Kahn, Little Richard and Bonnie Raitt, always resulting to a killer band, and funky unforgettable tracks. 

Tasha have toured all over the planet with my music. Performing at The Detroit Blues Festival, New Orleans’ Jazzfest and for Friends of New Orleans at the  Democratic National Convention, The Blues Caravan Tour, spanning from The States, to all over Europe. Germany, France. Africa, Finland, Sweden and The Netherlands, The Next Generation Tour takes me all over France, The Legendary Rhythm & Blues through the Caribbean. I’ve  shared the bill with rhythm, blues and soul icons such as Aretha Franklin,  Bobby Watson, Bobby Blue Bland, Allen Toussaint, Taj Mahal, Carla Thomas, Susan Tedeschi, Samantha Fish, Robert Randolph & The Family Band, Joe Bonamassa, Tommy Castro,  Buckwheat Zydeco, and Voice of the Wetlands—Tab Benoit and Donald Harrison, Jim Belushi and Dan Aykroyd Blues Brothers. 

Tasha  Co- Produced and played the role of Mavis Staples in the original Musical : SOUL, THE STAX MUSICAL at The Baltimore center Stage. After completing 4 month run,  went out on my European Tour where Tasha did shows in France, Finland, Barcelona, Norway , Denmark, Switzerland.

Tasha currently have a residency with her live show, at Herb Alpert’s Vibrato in Bel Air California, with an amazing 5 piece band backing her up, and they are always sold out. Herb Alpert started A&M Records.
